Why don’t all members participate in the General Assembly?
According to the Cooperative’s bylaws, participation in the General Assembly is carried out through a group of elected delegates.

How can I download the CoopeJudicial App?
If this is your first time, request activation by calling 2528-5757 or by emailing info@coopejudicial.fi.cr
Download the CoopeJudicial App from the App Store, Play Store, or Huawei AppGallery.
You will receive an email from CoopeJudicial with your access information; create your password to log in using the same credentials as the CJ Online transactional website.
To make transactions such as transfers or payments, for security reasons you must download the CoopeJudicial Token App and define a 4- to 6-digit code required to generate the OTP.

Can I make a SINPE Móvil transfer without having the service registered with CoopeJudicial?
Yes. Through the CoopeJudicial App, you can make a transfer via SINPE Móvil by entering the main menu of the App, going to the transfers section, pressing the “More” button (+), selecting SINPE Móvil, entering the recipient’s phone number, and following the on-screen steps.
Please note that you can only send funds via SINPE Móvil if your phone number is registered in the SINPE Móvil network with another financial institution.
To receive funds, you must subscribe your phone number to the SINPE Móvil system with another financial institution and link it to your CoopeJudicial account.
Is there a cost for making SINPE Móvil transfers?
According to the provisions of the Central Bank regarding SINPE Móvil at the National Financial System level, each person may send transfers through this platform of up to ₡150,000 per day free of charge.
If an additional transfer is required on the same day and this amount is exceeded, it may be made, but it will incur an additional cost.
If you make SINPE Móvil transfers from your CoopeJudicial account to another CoopeJudicial account, they are free of charge up to ₡500,000.
It is important to clarify that the Cooperative operates in accordance with the regulations established by the Central Bank.
Is it safe to make SINPE Móvil transfers?
Yes, SINPE Móvil transfers are very secure. SINPE Móvil is a platform that operates across the entire National Financial System and is administered by the Central Bank, which provides this backing.
For greater security, when you initiate a SINPE Móvil transaction through the CoopeJudicial App and enter the phone number to which you wish to send money, the system validates the recipient’s phone number and displays the name of the person registered to that number, allowing you to confirm that the funds are being sent to the correct recipient.
If the phone number is not registered, the system will indicate in red that the number does not allow the sending of funds.
What is severance?
It is a right of employees to receive compensation in the event of termination of the employment relationship with employer responsibility.
Its purpose is to provide the former employee with a sum of money to support them while they are unemployed. This benefit is regulated by Article 63 of the Political Constitution and Articles 29 and 30 of the Labor Code.
Can CoopeJudicial manage my severance?
Yes, CoopeJudicial can manage severance pay funds in accordance with Law No. 7391, Article 23, subsection ch.
As a member of CoopeJudicial, you will enjoy the benefit of free severance pay administration.
This applies in cases of termination of employment with or without employer responsibility, resignation, retirement, pension, or death. Regardless of the length of service, you will receive the total employer contributions made from the moment the severance pay administration is registered with the cooperative
What are the requirements for CoopeJudicial to manage my severance?
Be an employee of the Judicial Branch
Be an active member of the Cooperative
Not have authorized another entity to manage your severance pay; if so, you must first complete the disaffiliation process
Complete the “Employer Contributions Administration Request” form
How much should I contribute for CoopeJudicial to manage my severance?
There is no cost. Members of CoopeJudicial enjoy the benefit of free severance pay administration.
What benefits are obtained with the administration of severance at CoopeJudicial?
Severance pay administration is free of charge; no additional costs apply (conditions apply).
No additional savings or mandatory percentage contributions are required, unlike other entities.
Earns annual returns on severance pay administration; all amounts administered from January to December generate returns that are distributed at the beginning of the following year.
The member has the right to receive the accumulated severance pay in the event of resignation, termination with or without employer responsibility, ensuring that the funds are protected.
There is no age limit. If the member exceeds the age range of 8 to 12 years, as applicable from their entry into the Judicial Branch, the active severance pay administration service remains valid. When the member separates from their employer, they are entitled to receive 100% of the accumulated amount in their severance pay administration.
Severance pay administration is established year by year, while the severance pay amount is accumulated up to a maximum of 8 to 12 years, depending on the member’s length of service in the Judicial Branch.
Do I need to designate beneficiaries for employer contributions (severance) when transferring them to CoopeJudicial?
No. In the event of death, the procedure follows Article 85 of the Labor Code, which states that benefits may be claimed by any relatives with a vested interest before the corresponding judicial labor authority.
What are the requirements to apply for Mutual Aid (Socorro Mutuo)?
Direct Subsidy – Original and Copy.
You may submit the application via email with a digital signature on the requested documents:
National ID of the deceased member
National ID of the beneficiaries
Digital death certificate with verified code issued by the Supreme Electoral Tribunal, clearly stating the cause of death
Bank account statement of the family member requesting financial assistance, indicating the account number
Complete and sign the forms of the insurance policies
Have at least 6 months of active membership status
Indirect Subsidy – Original and Copy
You may submit the application via email with a digital signature on the requested documents:
National ID of the member
National ID of the deceased family member
Death certificate clearly stating the cause of death
Death certification issued by the Civil Registry, as applicable. In cases of violent death, pursuant to Articles 242 and 243 of the Criminal Procedure Code, a sworn statement must be submitted with two witnesses indicating whether the death was accidental or as determined by the respective court
Letter requesting the Mutual Aid benefit
Sign PSCI-N06-FF-005 – Mutual Aid Sworn Declaration Form provided by the Cooperative
The member must not have more than 60 days of arrears in their obligations with the Cooperative
Have at least 6 months of active membership status
Who can be the beneficiaries of Mutual Aid (Socorro Mutuo)?
Beneficiaries are designated at the discretion of each member, regardless of whether they are family members or friends.
What are the requirements to apply for a loan?
Present a valid national ID (both sides)

Salary breakdown of the last three pay periods
Sign the SUGEF authorization form
Private Sector – Additional Requirements
Salary report for the last year (SICERE)
Bank account statements for the last 3 months where salary is deposited

Provide 2 guarantors who work in the public sector and are not retired or close to retirement
What are the requirements to apply for a fixed-term savings certificate?
Be an active member in good standing with savings and loan obligations
Open the certificate with a minimum amount of ₡50,000
What happens to my Social Capital if I leave the Cooperative?
According to the Regulations for the Admission and Resignation of Members ratified by the Assembly of Delegates on January 21, 2016, the return of social capital will be made one calendar year after the submission of the resignation letter.
When are annual surpluses paid?
Surpluses are generally paid during the first months of each year (February–March).
For members who have a CoopeJudicial debit card, surpluses are deposited automatically.
